Ciarán O'Connor is a researcher and journalist who is interested in how technology can be used to impact society and democracy. He has worked with the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, an NGO that researches extremism, disinformation and hate online, since 2020, and he frequently contributes and writes for Irish and international media.

Ciarán previously produced The Forgotten, a current affairs and history podcast for RTÉ Radio 1 in 2024 and contributed to the Audible podcast Squid Scam in 2022. He was formerly with Storyful news agency and is a graduate of the University of Amsterdam and Dublin City University. 

Dr Dónal Mulligan is a lecturer at the School of Communications in Dublin City University, where he studies and teaches about media technologies and society. He is interested in the history, development, and policy related to GenAI, and is a frequent speaker on these topics.

Dónal has previously been a contributor to other podcasts on issues of politics and technology, as well as a guest on radio and television news in Ireland and internationally - usually to talk about Eurovision!
